We all have a goal to follow or have some thing which you want to achieve. But sometimes, we really get stopped on the way. Might be because of our procrastination habit, or we really don’t know how to achieve it.
In this “stuck” scenario, how about defining one applicable action step, and just follow through that. This step might be so tiny one or a big one. It really depend on your goal and personal motivation level.
If our goal is to prepare for a competitive examination, but we lack motivation today. How about taking “one” step. Say, you learn 10 questions for now. Or, you order few learning materials online.
Defining this applicable step really helps because, it open a way for us to move forward. Many times, we avoid doing what we are supposed to do, because, we see the goal as a BIG frog. Thinking about it itself stop us from moving forward.
So, this technique, Defining one applicable action step, comes to our help.
But, one thing is important here. Definition is not enough. We need to get this action step done. Thinking about doing something will not actually complete the task. It needs action.
Together with the definition of one applicable action step + completing that action, you put one step forward for your goal.
Try it out yourself, and see how it helps.
