They know that their mission is not just to run the case, but compete against the most talented men and women in the world.

Once they are selected for the event, they leave everything else in their life behind. Their sole focus is the dream that they are going to represent and the truly know the importance of the opportunity before them.

Every athlete dream for a gold. No athelete even during their practice session think that they are preparing for a silver or a bronze. No - never. They are looking for gold, and their daily practice reflect that.

To be an Olympic athlete requires commitment. A special kind of promise or pledge to work toward a goal. Athletes and their families follow a schedule, or plan, for practice time. Every day of the week, they go to practice. There is much sacrifice, or giving up what one likes to do.

Athletes must give up many school activities. They keep up with school work by studying before and after practice. Parents also sacrifice. Sometimes they drive their children many miles to practice before sunrise and late at night.

What keeps them motivated during this this tenuous level of daily routine - just one thing. The prizes and rewards of being an Olympic athlete!

To get what we want in our life, we need to have a commitment. A commitment strong enough that it will change how you live. It is going to be tough. We might need to leave many pleasures that our peer enjoy.  Sometimes we have to stay away from many enjoyments that occupy our friends time. We are on a great goal. A great mission. We have something great to accomplish, and it needs commitment. From your mind, soul and body.

One of the greatest commitment is that done by an olympic athlete to achieve his goal. And this I call “Olympic Commitment”

If we define commitment as “Olympic commitment” and “non-Olympic commitment”, to strike gold in our dreams, the first step towards our success is to make a commitment.  - yes, an “Olympic Commitment“.
